You guys should check out diablo 2 medianXL. It's a Mod Bros Laz created for D2. All new skills, there are new levels, heroic levels, uberquests, level challenges, new items sacred items, you can craft items, also you can use alchemy to boost your guy extremely. There are also skill in which if you want to recieve them, you have to quest and do trials for them. If you think you can handle the awesome mind blowingness of this game (trust me, i had to go through like 3 guys to figure out what i was doing), then it's probably at least worth checking out. I have been playing it for quite sometime and its still just as fun. It definately makes up for waiting for Diablo III. Here's the website (a necessity if your going to play)

Also if you want to play on battlenet. go to www.d2maniacs.org. click on the join tab and it will tell you how to download the d2 server so you can play online. from what I've seen, all you need to do is ask for help and most people will help you. their not all ass turds from the original.

Yeah Median is pretty fun but I prefer the mod "Back to Hellfire" it takes Diablo 2 and puts it back into the original Diablo scene. My favorite though is The Dark. The Dark is a Diablo/Hellfire mod that is just amazing. Diablo 2 got a little out of hand with all the items and The Dark sticks closer to the roots of DnD and such. http://www.thedark5.com it is worth checking out.
